My name is Bonnie Johnson. I grew up in Windsor, Colorado and moved to South Dakota for college. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Counseling and Prevention from the University of South Dakota in 2019. I have been working with Compass Point since 2019, starting as an ACT (Addiction Counselor Trainee) and got my CAC (Certified Addiction Counselor) in March of 2022. I have a special interest in MRT (Moral Reconation Therapy) and other specialty groups. I run MRT groups, conduct evaluations, individual sessions, and I am also our Training Coordinator, so I help onboard new counseling staff. I enjoy working with people in our community while encouraging growth. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, with family and friends, and being outdoors.
